Disney has officially confirmed that their GM-sponsored pavilion in EPCOT will be closing for a major update on June 17th, 2024. In addition to this, Disney has released a new piece of concept art, along with the promise of more details coming soon!
This brand-new art depicts new entrance signage, as well as an incredible-looking new entrance overhang matching the 1982 pavilion’s facade. This is a significant upgrade over the existing entrance canopy.
Teased at last year’s Destination D23, General Motors is funding a massive update to the pavilion they’ve sponsored in EPCOT since 1982.
Exclusive information available to Mickey Views suggests this latest update is projected to take a full year of construction work at a cost nearing $100 million dollars. Further details on the update such as changes to the theming and attraction plot will be revealed in the near future.

EPCOT needs to be renamed Under Construction. It’s endless.
Epcot is never supposed to be finished – that was Walt Disney’s vision. Always expanding and growing. Love this upgrade, much over due. 🙂
Brilliant, we arrive in August with Epcot tickets especially for this ride. Thanks Disney
Bruh, why, do you have to change it for the third time. I only got to ride the ride once and now they’re changing it. That’s one of the most popular rides at Disney world. Just why.
